Calder Park Thunderdome – Track design and testing video

The first round of the Track Battle Australian Time Attack Series is going to be held at the famous Calder Park Thunderdome on the 24th and 25th of September. The dome hasn’t been used for an event in a very long time so we are extremely lucky to be allowed to hold our event there. Having the crowd on the infield, combined with the banked course, will create a great stadium atmosphere for the fans and drivers alike. We took time attack ace John Boston with us to help design and test the track, driving the Chasers Evo VI time attack car. We also had some local drivers hit the course to provide further feedback. And the prognosis? A fast, technical, wild and fun track. Check out the video then be sure to enter before the 60 spots run out!

Video – Hankook Carbon WRX

Ben Creswick’s carbon-fibre Subaru Impreza WRX time attack car is one of the fastest time attack cars in the country and is gearing up for the Track Battle Australian Time Attack Series. Here is a video of some early testing.

1:37 around Eastern Creek Raceway with Nicholas Kalis in his Evo IX

Nicholas Kalis came out of no where by winning the Clubsprint class of the 2010 World Time Attack Challenge. Now he is one of the most well known and respected Evo pilots in Australia. WIth more power, more suspension work and a widebody kit that thanks to Hankook houses some massive 295 Ventus Z221 R-comp semi-slicks, the car is now even faster. The “Spartan” set a new PB at Eastern Creek recently and the guys at Motive DVD captured it with their helmet cam. Enjoy.

Some music for your ears – Sounds of a track day

Here is a nice video from the guys at Motive DVD for you to enjoy. It’s raw and isn’t fancy but it doesn’t matter.
