ADGP is proud to announce our first car club affiliation with the Victorian Drift Club! We have a great relationship with VicDrift and have decided to create an affiliation and work together for our 2011 series and beyond.

The Victorian Drift Club was founded in 2006 and have been holding regular practice days and events such as Drift Attack ever since. Australian Drifting Grand Prix held their first ever trade stand and launched the new series at the latest Drift Attack event in May!

“VicDrift is excited to be a part of the Australian Drifting GP series and be able to provide support at the debut event at Calder Park. Having worked with Amy and the ADGP team in the past at various events, I am confident the team will make it a debut to remember. It is fantastic to see a national series round in Victoria for 2011 for what has already been a busy year for the drifters in Victoria with many practice days, a Matsuri festival, a Top Gear Live demonstration and completion of the 1st round of the VicDrift series, Federal Tyres Drift Attack. I am looking forward to what is shaping up to be a great season of drifting for 2011 and cannot wait to see what the future holds” – Yoshi Abey, VicDrift Club President.

VicDrift have been very supportive of ADGP so far and we look forward to dealing with them in the future.

“VicDrift are awesome! They have been very supportive of the Australian drifting scene and always go above and beyond to help out in whatever way they can. I’m really looking forward to working with them!” – Amy Boatwright, Championship Manager, ADGP.

Not only will the club itself be helping out but members of VIC Drift will be competing in the series. Victoria Brand Ambassador for ADGP and VicDrift Member Nigel Petrie is very excited about the new affiliation.

“VicDrift have been the driving force in Victoria for all things drifting, they spend countless hours preparing track days and making sure all Victorians get a slice of the Australian drift action, to hear that Vic Drift will be affiliated with ADGP is great news for all and a massive step in the right direction for drifting in Victoria and Australia. On behalf of all Victorians and as a VicDrift member we look forward to raising the profile of Australian and Victorian drifting this September” – Nigel Petrie.
